A sensei question asked of me today - "My Sifu said, The dragon can never make its home in your heart because the Tiger has made it's den there long ago, There is nothing more I can teach you, you belong to the world now."
Firstly, "What did My Sifu mean by "you belong to the world now?"
second "What is my path back to the light or am I destined to live this life of darkness until I am reborn and start this journey again.?"
He left the path of Buddha and took up the sword.

My answer - the path of bhuddah and the path of the sword are not mutually exclusive -

the dragon is serenity, spiritual, with power, the tiger is unfocussed , physical, rage - you belong to the world now means - you exist and belong to the material world , not the spiritual. The path back to the light is to rid yourself of desire and expectation, all of the worlds suffering comes from what we covet, not what we need. sleep when you are tired, eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirsty, be thankful for both the sun and the rain, and be water, flow and adapt, do not be forceful because force cannot beat force. The path to the light is the path of the darkness because desire blinds us.

here is what the student had to say,

I read the response and yes, it makes perfect sense. That's why I knew I had to ask a Sifu only they can capture terms and phrases so sensibly and with so much meaning. I am forever in your debt, thank u be well and may peace, charity and good fortune be with you all the number of your days kind sir -bows-
