Sudden Impact

Sudden Impact

A loss of a brother and son

Fastest hurt limitless shock

Knowing them is how I’ve won

Even with shortened time on clock

The tears mourn price is paid

In the wages of our lives

Rather it be me and you had stayed

But their impact has survived

Thicker than blood, fire baptizes

To go when others tremble with fear

Living life sans compromises

To save lives you feel him near

lives you saved my son are celebration

in my tapestry you have been sewn

thoughts of you bring elation

the life you saved was mine own
